Peter "PJ" Farm Obituary

Farm, Peter Jason "PJ"

1972-2024

Age 51 of Minneapolis, MN, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024.

He was the loving son of Catherine Della-Giustina-Mahon and Peter T. Farm (deceased). He is survived by his mother, Catherine and her husband, Gene F. Mahon.

Peter was a beloved grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Victor E. Della-Guistina who cherished him for his loving nature, caring spirit, brilliant mind and kindness to others. His early life was spent in Watertown, CT that began his love of music, theatre and technical design and sports. Peter played a large part at the Wesbury Park Chidren's Theatre Co. and at Wolcott High School.

He loved Watertown, played baseball and learned golf. Moving to Plymouth, MN, Pete attended Wayzata High School in Wayzata, MN, played tackle on the football team his Junior and Senior years, and was proficient in the German language. At Boston University Pete majored in Aeronautical Engineering which he opted out after his first year at B.U. while continuing his education in nursing at Minnesota Community Technical College.

Peter was always drawn back to his love of visual, audio and creative design.

The Vordebruggen family welcomed Peter to be part of their family.

Peter was an extraordinary free lance AV facilitator at major venues including night clubs, bands, concerts, and conventions. As a young man he worked for Prince at his night club, Glam Slam, as well as Paisley Park, among many other recognized artists. Peter was considered an AV Wizard and so highly respected by his peers.

He joined the Union I.A.T.S.E. Local 13 in Minneapolis, MN. For 8 years he was Stage Manager for the Minnesota State Band. Member of the softball team known as "Sports" in Minnesota, playing first base. Peter was respected and loved by many. There will be a celebration of Peter's life on a date/time to be determined at Insight Brewery. A moment of silence at the softball field hailed P.J. with his picture on the boards in his honor.

Through the years he worked with his dearest friend and love, Jill Glass, on her many musical adventures and lately with her band "Veritas Realm" Peter was a connoisseur of fine wines, beers and liquors, sharing his talents as a gourmet cook with family and friends, creating his own recipes. Peter will be truly missed.

Family will receive friends on Monday, April 1st at 10:30 AM and Celebration of Peter's life at 11:00 AM with the Deacon, Dennis Hanson officiating at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd E in Wayzata.
